A good friend of mine just bought that game. Found out real quick the X600 PCI card I gave him (Came with my Dell) isn't even close to being good enough.

We are debating how much of HIS money to spend on a new card right now in email... I seem to be spending more of HIS money then he is. I am trying to get him to get at least a X800XL or 6800GT. Around $200.00 MAX! He is looking at a 6800XT or 7600GT for around $130-150.00.....Seems that game needs better then that.

Why? Give it a try. You will have your computer fixed in no time at all. It will drive you mad trying to play that game....it will motivate you to Beg, Borrow, or even Steal to get your rig running right.

I'm still in the beginning of the sewers, I can't think of any useful things yet, I'll post something later.

The only negative thing I have to say about this is the player character animation in the 3rd person view.. strafing looks wierd and RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed and jump... am I on the moon? >_>
The jump is really bad.. if you dont wanna see some ridiculous player animation, play in first person and you'll love the game.

Something ive noticed is a few of the NPC's lip animations r messed up

one guy had 2 sets of lips, 1 set moved to the words, and the other just stayed normal it looked weird

Im running a:
Pentium 4 2.53 ghz
1 gig of RAM
gefored 6800 128 ram

and it runs fine

TIP: to drop stuff u have to hold it out of ur inventory for a little bit then hit Z to let it go (not sure for 360 though)

Played Morrowind off and on since 2002, so naturally Oblivion takes some getting used to. Good game, but...

1. Interface is a step backwards. In Morrowind you could bring up all overlapping screens with a right mouse click, and everything was right there at your disposal.
2. Drag, drop, and place items capability sucks compared to Morrowind.
3. Third person movement is clumsy.
4. Had to spring for a new video card, but I expected that.
5. No enemy health bar, unless it's in the .ini -- haven't looked.
6. Faces are still ugly -- boy are they ugly, but a few good mods ought to fix that.
7. Time runs by way too fast, but I'm used to playing Morrowind with a slow down mod.

It seems like there is too much X-Box in the in the game. PC gamers can do a lot more, control wise, than what is possible with a console. But, all in all, it is a very good game -- a couple of patches and a pile of mods, and it will probably be a great game.

The health bar is wrapped around the top of the cross hairs wen ur aiming at an enemy or ally

Home built, as usual, and it's got a lot of miles on it. DFI nForce2 400-AL mainboard, AthlonXP 2700+, pair of PNY 512mb DDR400 ram, 60mb and 40mb Maxtor 7200rpm drives, MadDog CDR-DVD drive, Sound Blaster Audigy2, and an ATI Radeon 9600Pro 128mb, in a six year old case. It runs.

Not ready to build a whole new rig, and needed an AGP card that would do the trick without spending a bundle, since the whole nine yards will end up with one of the grandkids when I build a new one (with PCI-e). Computer Game Magazine tested the budget cards out there, and the PNY GeForce 6800GS/256mb GDDR3 came out on top, so I opted for that.
